Earth is the Most Interesting Planet in the Galaxy Right Now

One of the most interesting sections of the excellent uaptheory.com site speculates why there has been such an increase in UFO sightings lately: The stone age takes hundreds of thousands of years, then you have thousands of years of bronze age, antiquity, and so on, and then we almost immediately reach the stars as technology advances exponentially all of a sudden. We are right now in this very short slice of time, just 100 to 200 years, where our technology advances to that of a spacefaring species. No other planet in this galaxy is in this short, critical moment at this time. We are about to enter the galaxy ourselves and that makes this era very important. It makes sense, given the vast scale of cosmic time and the statistical unlikelihood of life on any two planets evolving at exactly the same rate and time. Think about how cool that is. Hundreds or thousands of advanced, spacefaring civilizations might have all eyes on us at this very moment when we’re on the cusp of joining the galactic community. More than anything, I want this to be true. I hope the aliens make the first move and reveal themselves to us…
