Gunfights with Alien Beings – A Different Perspective

There’s a history of weird and violent human-alien meetups. Using the Kelly-Hopkinsville, KY, case of August 1955 as a well-known “intro,” Kevin Randle adds several well- and lesser-known instances and asks readers for more. And Kevin himself has more on that “lead” case in Chasing Footnotes-Kelly Hopkinsville, Part Two. Here it’s a technical point that’s caused some confusion in UFO circles. Rich Reynolds has been thinking along some of these lines, applying his psychological training to The Kelly-Hopkinsville Incident. A rather similar quandary of real-versus-imagined exists with a 1979 Scottish case, reported by Kurt Robson about a Brit ‘Abducted’ by 30ft ‘Dome-shaped’ UFO before Police Found Mystery Ground Marks. Robert Taylor’s totally bonkers, single-witness encounter for which “no-one doubted his sincerity in what he had believed to have seen” makes for “one of the most polarising UFO sightings in history.” (WM)– Delivered by Feed43 service
