Mid-morning, still air, clear sky, looking NNE, September 16, 2019, 09:59 (metadata).Story:Testing my iPod’s camera against my Sony RX-100, not taking a shot of any specific object/subject. This is from the iPod – the thing doesn’t appear on the Sony shot, which was taken a little earlier, of the same view. I didn’t notice the thing until I transferred the file to my iMac later in the day – I didn’t see it at the time, either in the sky or on the camera screen.Images:#1 is a screen grab of the original. #2 the same, with a ring around the thing. #3 an unretouched enlargement showing the pixelation, color confusion, and blurring present in the file (made worse by appearing as a blog image). #4 [below – Ed.] is a smoothed greyscale version.Analysis:1 It is a thing, an object. Not a fault in the photographic image. It is in the sky. Things in the sky are generally assumed to be flying. We do not know what this is, therefore it is an Unidentified Flying Thing, or UFT.
