UFO sightings and sci-fi

Anyone else think all the hype about UFOs is really silly — largely based on sci-fi reading plus some smart commentators on alien intelligence? Like, we see no super structures out there, no evidence of any colonization of the galaxy, which has been calculated as rather easy even at sublight speeds, given a few million years. And yet, these aliens who supposedly hide all this evidence from us don’t use nanotechnology or other tech to hide any probes or vehicles they send to us? Like they can cross gulfs of space yet blunder into being seen by clumsy cameras in blurry footage? It’s all so stupid and I genuinely think reading sci-fi is actually helpful in realizing this. Personally I just think this is more handwaving by the .001% to distract and foment more distrust of their only potential enemy, government regulations. submitted by /u/snormie [link] [comments]
