A GALLERY portrait from the 17th century has given visitors a tickle – by appearing to show proof of time travel. But upon closer inspection, an apparent Nike tick can be spotted on the youngster’s boots. The painting, thought to be drawn in the 1650s, predates US brand Nike by about three centuries. Mum Fiona Foskett, 57, spotted the continuity error whilst visiting the London museum with daughter Holly, 23. The mum-of-one, from the Isle of Wight, told The Sun: “I was looking at the painting and the trainers really stuck out to me. “I said to my daughter, ‘Hold on, is he wearing a pair of Nike trainers?’ “It had us in fits of laughter – he’s certainly a trendy-looking youngster. “Looking at the age, he must have got his hands on the first pair of Nike trainers ever made.
