Robert Salas, who was at Malmstrom Air Force Base in Montana in 1967 when 10 ICBM’S he was overseeing suddenly became inoperative – at the same time base security informed him of a mysterious red glowing object in the sky. CSC, briefed them about the bizarre phone calls and the strange situation going on topside. In the middle of this conversation, we both heard the first alarm blare through the confined space of the missile control capsule, we both immediately looked over at the panel of control lights at the Commander’s station.
