Special Guest: Mars Helicopter Team Lead – Intrepid Museum LIVE w/ NSF

NASA’s Mars 2020 Perseverance rover landed on Mars one year ago on Feb. 18, 2021. Perseverance is the most sophisticated rover NASA has ever sent to the Red Planet, with a name that embodies NASA’s passion, and our nation’s capability, to take on and overcome challenges. It has collected and documented rock and sediment samples for future return to Earth, search for signs of ancient microbial life, characterize the planet’s geology and climate, and paves the way for human exploration beyond the Moon. Hear from Ingenuity team leader who worked on the mission, as they update us on the Rovers progress, and show some images captured by the Ingenuity helicopter. A 5:00pm pre-show will take place with an interactive talk from an Intrepid Museum Educator. The event is hosted and produced by John “Das” Galloway.
