Until recently, like many, I was a skeptic, dismissing UFOs as merely science fiction or misinterpretations of natural phenomena. In fact, growing up, History Channel was my favorite chanel and I stopped watching shortly after they started broadcasting ancient civilizations and UFO conspiracies. I was into hardcore, grounded history content (WWII, Alexander, Napoleonic wars, etc). Being a programmer, I used to look at myself as the rational one who’s always evidence first. However, recent revelations, as well as a deeper examination of the recurring themes and patterns in UFO sightings, have caused me to reevaluate my position, and I now estimate the probability of the UFO phenomenon and the existence of otherworldly beings at around 80%. The narrative of UFO encounters has often been remarkably consistent over the years, despite geographic and cultural differences. Sightings often describe cigar or disc-shaped vehicles, a putrid ammonia-like smell permeating the air, and the sensation of some form of telepathic communication with the beings inside. Perhaps most intriguingly, witnesses often report a distortion in their perception of time during their encounters. These commonalities are difficult to dismiss as mere coincidence or mass hysteria.
