UFOs: Investigating The Unknown, the new docuseries from Leslie Kean on NatGeo, really delivers.

It has been a very long time indeed since the UFO research community, and UFO science in particular, has been given quality airtime. Leslie Kean’s new 5 part documentary focuses primarily on the history of the phenomenon, in mostly broad strokes. Certain well-known events serve as touch points in the larger narrative of serious (read: more scientific) UFO/UAP research, conducted over the last 70 some years by government and private citizens alike. Indeed, the series really solidly examines the intersection of UFOs, serious research, and government involvement like no other TV show has previously. I highly recommend it, and feel it serves as some of the best UFO media of the last few decades. https://www.nationalgeographic.com/tv/shows/ufos-investigating-the-unknown Wider media attention and articles: https://www.space.com/ufos-investigating-the-unknown-docuseries-leslie-kean https://www.forbes.com/sites/jenniferhicks/2023/02/16/national-geographics-new-docuseries-gives-insight-into-ufo-sightings/?sh=1c92c6ac5e91 https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/scientists-try-to-get-serious-about-studying-ufos-good-luck-with-that/ https://geekdad.com/2023/02/the-new-series-ufos-investigating-the-unknown-premieres-on-national-geographic/ submitted by /u/timmy242 [link] [comments]
